If you're wondering what TM-Marathon is, well, it’s a website I developed where you can host and join marathons (It doesn’t necessarily have to be marathons) or anything you want to watch with a group.

Now that that’s out of the way let’s see what new changes are coming to TM-Marathon.

Changes

  • In-App Video Call
  • Private Marathons
  • Unified Backend
  • In-App Video Call

In the first version of TM-Marathon, when you decided to host a marathon, you had to provide a meeting URL, i.e., a Zoom Link or a Google meeting link, etc. This is not a good idea since it’s time-consuming and not very intuitive. So in the new version of TM-Marathon, there is a video calling feature baked into the application. This saves lots of time because it reduces the number of things you need to fill in.

    Private Marathons

Sometimes you might just want your close friends or family members to be part of your marathon. In the old version, all marathons were public by default, with no option to change it. In this new version, you can choose whether a marathon is private or not.

    Unified Backend

Recently I launched a new application called Degilib. The old version of the application used a custom auth flow. But now, with the new version, you can use the same credentials as Degilib to access TM-Marathon. The reason I did this was that I wanted to integrate TM-Marathon directly inside Degilib.
